Another day, another lawsuit. This time Justin Timberlake
and Will.I.Am are under fire over their 2006, FutureSex/
LoveSounds collab, "Damn Girl."
In the lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court, PK Music
Performance, a music publisher, is saying that "Damn Girl"
is a rip-off of a song written by A Taste of Honey. PK Music
owns the rights to "A New Day is Here at Last,” the song
they are claiming JT and Will.I.Am stole.
"A New Day (Is Here at Last)” was performed by JC Davis
in 1969, was written by the late Perry Kibble of A Taste of
Honey. Kibble and A Taste of Honey are also responsible for
the 70's hit “Boogie Oogie Oogie.” Kibble died in 1999, at
age 49, and the copyright ownership was assigned to PK
Music.

The lawsuit says, “The portions of ‘A New Day (Is Here at
Last)’ copied in ‘Damn Girl’ are not only quantitatively
substantial, but qualitatively important to ‘A New Day Is
Here At Last,’ including the introduction, rhythm, harmony,
melody, and ‘hook’ all of which are copyrightable elements
individually and in combination.”

A Georgia jeweler is saying that T.I. owes them money and
he's refusing to pay up.
In a lawsuit, Aydin & Co says they provided the Bankhead
rapper with an 18.5 karat white gold bracelet, a ring and
yellow gold rosary in 2014. They say that T.I. paid $20k but
still owes a $44k balance which he has yet to pay. To make
matters worse, the jeweler says that over the 10'ish years
they've been working with the star, he's stiffed them out of
roughly $400k.
Aydin & Co is now suing T.I. for $700k. T.I. on the other
hand, calls bullsh*t.

GQ MAN OF THE YEAR 2015 IS KANYE WEST

Well, well, well, the votes are in for GQ's Most Stylish Man
of 2015. The winner is Kanye West who won with a total
of 520,119 votes. Runner up, Lucky Blue Smith came in at
445,073 votes. This is Kanye's second year in a row
winning the title. Are you surprised with the outcome?
Kanye West has had a pretty decent year. He debuted his
Yeezy Season label at New York Fashion Week in February
and had successful rollouts of Yeezy Boosts throughout the
year. Mr. West's style is one of the most talked about.

TASHA SMITH MARRIAGE ANNULMENT

Bingo! your favorite Tyler Perry star, Tasha Smith, just won big in
court because she managed to get her marriage erased
from history! Literally though!
Tasha got her marriage annulled a
couple days ago, after telling the judge that her now ex-
husband, Rory Douglas, lied about who he really was!
During the time they were dating he told he was a preacher
and made it seem like he was a man of faith, but he wasn’t
anything of those things, he was a fraud!
Tasha said he had been married, not once, but five times
before her! The Judge said “She in no way would have
jumped within a few months at the chance to be bride
number six.”

The judge said that Douglas wasn’t even up front about the
number of kids he really had. He also failed to mention his
criminal past and that he hasn’t paid his taxes in nearly
decade!

IS RIHANNA THE REASON RITA ORA IS DONE WITH ROC NATION ?

Rita Ora made headlines earlier this month when news
broke that she was suing her label, Roc Nation, to get out of
her contract. Rumors began swirling that part of the reason
Rita wants out is because of our favorite bad gal Rihanna!
It’s no secret that Rihanna is Roc Nation Royalty, but
apparently Rihanna is using her power to stop Rita Ora’s
career from progressing!
According to the Sun, Rihanna allegedly gets first picks
when it comes to songs, even though Rita hasn’t put
anything out since her 2012 eponymous debut.
A source told the newspaper: ‘Rihanna has never liked Rita
and has been using her power at Roc Nation accordingly.
Songs that might be submitted to her are automatically
given to Rihanna, who may then hold them for months
before deciding she doesn’t want them.”
But Rihanna isn’t all to blame because Rita’s ex-boyfriend,
Calvin Harris, is also holding some of the cards to! Calvin
banned Rita from performing ‘I Will Never Let You Down, a
track he produced for her during the time they were
together.
Rita is claiming that her contract with Roc Nation is in
violation of California’s ‘seven-year rule’ and that she has
been completely left behind as label executives are taking
the label in a different direction.
‘When Rita signed, Roc Nation and its senior executives
were very involved with her as an artist,’ the complaint
states, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
‘As Roc Nation’s interests diversified, there were fewer
resources available and the company suffered a revolving
door of executives.
‘Rita’s remaining supporters at the label left or moved on to
other activities, to the point where she no longer had a
relationship with anyone at the company.’
According to DailyMail, the lawsuit lists Roc Nation’s
interest in sports management and other projects like Tidal
as specific examples.
In an attempt to get out of her contract, Rita is citing Labour
Code §2855, which is the ‘Seven Year Rule’.
Once the news made national headlines ‘Free Rita’ began
trending on Twitter as fans backed the singer’s request to
be released from the label, according to the DailyMail.

The feud between these two rappers has been heated pretty
much all year and things have only been getting hotter. The
latest scrap of beef between them is Ricky Rozay rapping
over 50 Cent’s #1 single In Da Club of course 50 Cent
wasn’t going to have that….Ricky you knew! Anyways, the
real Curtis Jackson actually filed a suit in Connecticut this
week, citing that Rick Ross not only used his song without
his permission, but is provoking him in an attempt to gain
more sales.
If you hadn’t heard, Rick Ross’ Black Market only sold
21,798 copies it’s first week despite his efforts to be more
prominent on social media lately. If you remember, earlier
this month, Fiddy dragged Rozay for such lackluster sales.

Around 5pm on Tuesday a 27 year old woman waited at the electric gate outside Chris Brown's mansion  and this is the same mansion that was bulgarized while Chris aunt was inside a few months back. The fan waited outside Chris gate for someone to leave before making a move. once someone exited the gate the fan drove onto the property. Security ordered the fan to leave but she refused,so cops were been called. IRAN PRESIDENT FACT-FINDING MISSION TO PROBE NIGERIA SHIA MUSLIMS

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has called for the
establishment of a fact-finding committee in Nigeria to
investigate the recent military crackdown on Shia Muslim
community in the African country.
“Under the present circumstances, we expect the Nigerian
government to sympathize with all victims and prevent the
persistence of any kind of unrest by issuing firm
instructions,” Rouhani said in a telephone conversation with
his Nigerian counterpart Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
Local media said on December 12 that more than a dozen
people were killed after clashes erupted between the
Nigerian army and Shia Muslims in the northern city of
Zaria, Kaduna State. The military accused the Shias of
attempting to assassinate Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai,
the chief of the Nigerian army staff.
Nigerian soldiers opened fire on the people attending a
religious ceremony at Hussainiyyah Baqeeyatullah, a
religious center belonging to the Islamic Movement of
Nigeria (IMN).
Top Nigerian Shia cleric, Ibrahim al-Zakzaky
One day later, revered Nigerian Shia cleric Ibrahim al-
Zakzaky and his wife were arrested during a raid by the
army on his residence and the buildings connected to the
Shia community in Zaria. Local sources say hundreds of
people trying to protect the cleric were killed.
Rouhani further warned of plots to cause discord among
Muslim countries and urged Muslim nations to remain
united and vigilant against schemes.
“We should not let minor differences grow into deep-seated
conflicts and differences,” Rouhani said, adding that the
Muslim world currently needs to settle issues peacefully.
He also expressed Iran’s readiness to dispatch medical
teams to Nigeria to treat those injured in the recent wave of
violence.
Buhari, for his part, said he would fulfill his responsibility to
ensure safety of the Nigerian Muslims and
meticulously probe the recent deadly incidents.
Nigeria attacks pre-planned plot: Larijani
Speaker of Iran’s parliament (Majlis) Ali Larijani said on
Tuesday that the recent bloody attacks against Shia
Muslims in Nigeria were a pre-planned plot in the best
interests of the Israeli regime.
In a letter to Nigeria’s Speaker of the House of
Representatives Dogara Yakubu, Larijani added that the
painful incident was aimed at causing discord among
Muslim sects.
He condemned the attacks and called for the immediate
release of Zakzaky.

JOSE MOURINHO REVISES AIMS

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said a top-six Premier
League finish may be the best his side can hope for after an
eighth defeat of the campaign against Bournemouth on
Saturday.
Substitute Glenn Murray's 82nd-minute header at Stamford
Bridge condemned Chelsea to a 1-0 loss that left them three
points above the relegation zone and 14 points adrift of the
Champions League places.
Mourinho had previously insisted that Chelsea were still
capable of breaking into the top four, but he admitted that
he might have to revise his objectives after the champions'
latest abject result.
"Before this game it was realistic to think that our quality
would take us out of this position, but maybe now we have
to think about top six," he told Sky Sports.
"I am concerned, of course. There is no chance that Chelsea
will be fighting relegation. That is not the problem. It is that
our objective is to finish top four."
Chelsea had shown an improvement in their recent outings,
notably in last weekend's 0-0 draw at Tottenham Hotspur,
but Mourinho said that a deep-seated malaise may have
taken root with certain players.
"If you analyse matches, and especially match after match,
you can clearly identify a few players that it is difficult for
them to be consistent," he said.
"Sometimes you feel there is an evolution, but the next day
you realise there is no evolution. You realise that was an
individual moment where the player did better than he's
doing.
"To get results, you have to be consistent, and we have not
been consistent because of some individualities."
Mourinho felt that his side had been denied a "clear penalty"
when a cross from Diego Costa struck the prone Simon
Francis on the arm and also suggested that Bournemouth
had indulged in time-wasting.
"They played in a way that some call intelligent, some say is
not fair play," he said.
"They were taking time, calling for the medical department
and drinking water like it is a basketball time out."
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said his side's win was
"the biggest result in the club's history" after seeing them
haul themselves out of the relegation zone.
"I don't think we have defended too badly (this season). It's
just been individual mistakes and setbacks," said Howe,
whose side are now only two points behind Chelsea.
"But the players have come in and worked hard for the next
game and tried to improve themselves. It was really
emotional in the dressing room afterwards, so I'm so proud

Former Adamawa Commissioner Facing charges For 10years Over corruption

A Federal High Court sitting in Yola north central
Nigeria, has jailed the former Adamawa State
Commissioner of Finance and Local Government, John
Elias for 10 years over charges of corruption.
The conviction followed a corruption case instituted by
the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,
against the one time commissioner of local government
and chieftaincy Affair.

The court also ordered him to refund 51million to the
Adamawa State local government joint account which
he diverted to his personal account through his
company named Al-Akim investment.
Al-Akim investment is owned by John Babani which the
Court said was used to divert the state resources.
Elisa still has 3 other pending cases bordering on
corruption filed against him at the Federal Court Yola by
the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. .

THIRTY KILLED IN LAKE CHAD ATTACK

No fewer than 30 people were killed when three suicide
bombers attacked the island of Koulfoua on the
Chadian side of Lake Chad on Saturday.
80 others were injured in the attacks that coincided with
market day.
No group has claimed responsibility for the explosions
but they bear the hallmarks of the so-called Islamist
group Boko Haram.The swampy maze of islands has
been targeted by Boko Haram in the past.
Chad extended a state of emergency in the region last
month after a double suicide attack that killed 12
people.
Earlier this year, thousands of people fleeing Boko
Haram sought refuge on the island although it was not
immediately clear if they were still based there.
The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian
Affairs said this week that over 50,000 internally
displaced people had arrived in the region since end-
July.

HIGHER GROWTH RATE WILL SHAPE DECISION AS MPC MEETS TOMORROW

As members of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Monetary Policy
Committee converge on Abuja for the final edition of the
committee meeting for the year, there seems to be a consensus
among financial market analysts that the current regime of
higher growth rate and low inflation will be a game changer at
the meeting, reports Festus Akanbi
At last data suggesting that the Nigerian economy might
have begun to pick up have started to trickle into the market
through the office of the National Bureau of Statistics
(NBS).
For the first time this year, while the inflation figure has
started coming down, the GDP is showing some signs of
improvement.
It is a relief to the nation’s economy managers and
watchers considering the fact that Nigeria, like other oil
dependent nations have been battling with devastating
effects of the unabated plunge in the price of crude oil for
over a year. A barrel was sold for $43.66 as at the
weekend whereas the same quantity attracted $111 in
2014. Nigeria’s case was even made grimmer by a
combination of declined output and economic sabotage that
hallmarked the previous administration.
For a country, which had been experiencing arithmetical
progression in inflation figure since the beginning of the
year, last week’s announcement of a marginal decline in the
figure of the month of October, put at 9.3 per cent as
against last month’s figure of 9.4 per cent could be a
source of inspiration that better days are here.
Although the current threshold is still above the Central
Bank of Nigeria’s target upper limit of 9 per cent, the initial
reaction of economic experts was that the current figure is a
sign of good things to come.
Declining Inflation
According to the NBS, the Composite Price Index (CPI)
report, which measures the prices of goods and services
indicated that the Headline index decreased slightly as a
result of lower increases in most divisions, which contribute
to the index with the exceptions being Transport, Recreation
and Culture divisions.
The Bureau reported further that food prices also edged
lower in the month under review, with the Food sub-index
increasing by 10.1 per cent from 10.2 per cent recorded in
September.
